Our homes are equipped with well stocked kitchens that provide fresh, healthy meals daily. The majority of rooms come with a TV, telephone and emergency call system as standard. The lounge and dining areas are kept spotless and we also have quiet areas and gardens for our residents to relax in. Residents receive a weekly doctor’s visit and round the clock care from our experienced nursing staff. All services can be specifically tailored to meet each resident’s unique needs.

Our chef and kitchen team, ensures that all food provided is freshly prepared on a daily basis and also caters for our residents with specific dietary needs. The nursing home has been awarded a ‘five-star’ food hygiene rating by The Environmental Health Agency .

Meals are modified as necessary for those with specific medical needs. All residents are given a choice of meals which can be served to them in their room or they can enjoy it in our recently refurbished dining room.

Our Nursing team seek advice / assessment from Speech and Language team for our residents based on clinical needs/ risks and ensure their nutritional wellbeing is looked after.

The single occupancy rooms at Peacock Manor are light, spacious and have been individually designed to create a homelier environment which reflects the ambiance of the original building. The rooms are fully equipped to deal with all nursing needs with profiling beds, pressure mattresses and a nurse call system. The en-suite rooms are designed to accommodate residents with a high level of need that may require the use of specialist equipment, such as a hoist.

Helping our residents stay social and active is important for their overall wellbeing. Our activities coordinator at peacock manor ensures that the residents have access to a varied programme of activities and events that enable them to maintain a level of social interaction and fitness.

Past activities and events have included dominoes, karaoke, arts and crafts and coffee mornings. Relatives can also enjoy our larger events such as Bonfire night and our Christmas parties. At Peacock Manor, we also celebrate life of residents who have died during their stay with us by conducting STARS OF PEACOCK MANOR CEREMONY in December.

Those same standards extend to the wide range of professional services that are available to our Service Users, including hairdressing, chiropody, and beauty therapies.

Here at Peacock Manor, we develop and maintain very detailed person-centred care plans that are implemented effectively through our use of the CMS platform. CMS is an incredibly advanced next-generation care management system that has the ability to plan, record, report and co-ordinate care ‘on the go’ 24 hours a day to ensure that each resident receives first-rate care and support tailored to their specific needs. However, the key to Peacock Manor’s excellent reputation is the way our very experienced care team work with resident’s and their families to identify how to meet each and every resident’s very individual care needs and wishes and maximise the quality of life for all residents.

At Peacock Manor Nursing Home, our unified team work closely together to achieve the very best level of care. From driven manager to passionate caregivers, our reputation for delivering outstanding care showcases the passion and enthusiasm of the incredible network of people who work here.

Care has the highest of standards when it comes to providing care. Regardless of their experience, all new members of staff have to complete a comprehensive 3 day induction with both online and faced to face training course to ensure the care that they practise meets the level required.

Staff are also offered further qualifications / trainings based on their areas of interest.

Even after their training has been completed, new staff are paired up with an experienced team member, so they’re completely educated on the unique care that each resident receives.

All staff benefit from regular reviews and personal development is actively encouraged through qualification opportunities and working towards promotion.
